Dried fruits and vegetable are highly nutritious. They are loaded with micronutrients, fibre and antioxidants.
They are also a healthier alternative, as compared to potato chips, for a crunchy snack that would fill the
nutrient gap. One piece of dried fruit contains about the same amount of nutrients as the fresh fruit, but
condensed in a much smaller package. However, there are some exceptions. For example, the vitamin C
content is significantly reduced when the fruit is dried.
